Smart Sustainability Assistant

About the role

The Smart Sustainability Assistant supports the department’s sustainability agenda while helping to design, test and maintain automated workflows. The role blends environmental data analysis with technical assistance for automation tools, ensuring both green initiatives and process efficiency are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing and tracking sustainability projects, including data collection on energy, water and waste.
• Prepare sustainability reports, presentations and communications for internal and external audiences.
• Research best practices, regulatory updates and innovative solutions in sustainability.
• Support the configuration, testing and monitoring of automation processes and workflows.
• Document automation performance, identify improvement opportunities and maintain system logs.
• Collaborate with ERP, BMS or related teams to troubleshoot and resolve automation issues.
• Coordinate workshops, awareness campaigns and training sessions on sustainability and automation.
• Maintain records for compliance, certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED) and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in environmental issues and climate action.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of automation tools or scripting languages such as Power Apps or Power Automate.
• Familiarity with automation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Building Management Systems) is a plus.
• Data analysis capability using standard office tools.
