Social Media Intern

About the role

Agency Helix is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to join its growing team. The internship offers hands-on experience with a diverse portfolio of brands across hospitality, government, lifestyle, retail and corporate sectors, with mentorship from experienced social media and digital marketing professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the social media team with daily account management on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms
• Support content planning, scheduling and publishing
• Research social media trends, viral content, competitors and industry developments
• Help develop content calendars, creative concepts and campaign ideas
• Draft captions, Stories and basic social media copy
• Monitor comments, messages and engagement, and help prepare monthly social media reports
• Coordinate with designers, content creators and account managers, and support content shoots and events when needed
• Explore AI tools to support content ideation, research and creative development

Required profile

• Recent graduate or currently studying Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field
• Strong interest in social media, digital marketing and content creation
• Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic is an advantage
• Organized, proactive, detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced agency environment

Required skills

• Good understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and current social media trends
• Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut or similar tools is an advantage
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social media analytics is a plus
