Social Media Manager (Bilingual)

About the role

We are looking for a fast‑paced, news‑savvy Social Media Manager who can translate breaking news, editorial features and multimedia content into engaging social narratives. The role sits at the intersection of journalism and digital distribution, driving traffic and audience growth across our media platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Package and distribute breaking news, live events and exclusive features on social channels in real time.
• Adapt long‑form editorial pieces, videos and podcasts into platform‑native formats such as threads on X, carousels on Instagram and short videos on TikTok/Reels.
• Optimize distribution strategies to increase click‑through rates, referral traffic and subscriber growth.
• Manage live‑tweeting, live‑streaming and behind‑the‑scenes coverage of industry events and press conferences.
• Cultivate and moderate an active digital community, ensuring comments follow editorial guidelines.
• Monitor real‑time analytics (Chartbeat, Google Analytics, platform insights) and advise editorial teams on trending topics.

Required profile

• 6+ years of social media management experience in a newsroom, digital publication, television network or media agency.
• Strong editorial judgment, knowledge of media law and a commitment to factual accuracy.
• Deep expertise with X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Ability to write sharp, click‑worthy headlines and captions under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work non‑traditional hours to cover breaking news or live events.
