Social Studies Teacher – Academic Year 2026/27

About the role

Aldar Education is looking for an enthusiastic Social Studies Teacher to join Rabdan Charter School in Abu Dhabi for the academic year starting August 2026. The role involves delivering the American curriculum, inspiring students, and contributing to a vibrant, diverse learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to a wide ability range.
• Assess student progress using Target Tracker and other school assessment tools, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff, and external specialists (e.g., speech therapists, educational psychologists) to support student development.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment, manage behaviour in line with school policy, and foster strong relationships with pupils.
• Participate in parent‑teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

• Passion for teaching Social Studies and a genuine appreciation of regional values.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement of teaching methods.
