About the role

American Gulf School is expanding its curriculum and seeks an enthusiastic Social Studies Teacher to join its dedicated faculty in Sharjah. The successful candidate will inspire students, integrate modern technology into lessons, and uphold the school’s high standards of academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Social Studies lessons for primary/secondary students.
• Incorporate educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student progress.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment in line with safeguarding policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Social Studies or a related field.
• Valid teaching credential or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an American or IB school.
• Strong command of English.
• Commitment to the welfare and academic success of students.
