Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join a leading technology company’s e‑commerce team. This remote, full‑time position focuses on building scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a distributed environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Profile and optimise system performance, fixing bottlenecks and improving algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features quickly and reliably.

Required profile

• New‑grad or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges in high‑traffic e‑commerce platforms.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience or familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
