Software Engineer (Python) – Relocation to Poland, Spain or UAE

About the role

Revolut is looking for a Python‑focused Backend Engineer who can relocate to Poland, Spain, or the UAE. You will join a fast‑growing fintech team that builds the core systems behind a global financial super‑app, with the option to work fully remote or in a hybrid model from our offices in Krakow, Barcelona, Madrid or Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain APIs, background jobs and data pipelines that scale with business demand.
• Write event consumers to create data models for new financial flows and processes.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to ensure clean, maintainable code delivered with TDD, DDD and CI/CD practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Python development (primary language).
• Academic background in a STEM discipline.
• Strong fluency in Python, SQL and object‑oriented programming.
• Experience building and integrating APIs.
• Practical understanding of distributed systems and concurrent programming.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, TeamCity and monitoring/alerting tools.
