Solution Architect - Financial Services & Mobility

About the role

techcarrot is looking for a Solution Architect to design and govern technology solutions across its Financial Services and Mobility businesses. The role is split equally between payments, lending and cards, and digital architecture. It acts as a trusted advisor and technology lead, turning business needs into secure, scalable and reusable architectures, and leading architecture deliverables such as capability modelling, gap analysis and roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Lending and cards: end-to-end architecture for BNPL, consumer and auto loans, credit cards, payment gateways, PSPs, acquirers, tokenisation, card issuing and processing, and agentic payments
• Digital architecture: microservices, micro-frontends and BFF patterns for websites, mobile apps and sales channels, REST, GraphQL and event-driven services, and integration of CRM, marketing automation and analytics tools
• Cloud-native deployment on Azure (containers, Kubernetes, serverless) with DevOps, CI/CD and monitoring
• Maintain the Level 1 Business Capability Architecture, produce As-Is, Transition and Target views and present recommendations to senior leadership
• Translate requirements and customer journeys into solution designs, drive architecture governance and ensure PCI DSS, Central Bank of the UAE rules and data protection are built in
• Identify AI and Gen AI opportunities and stay current with fintech trends

Required profile

• At least 12 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a solution architecture role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• Strong presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) and communication skills are mandatory
• Experience with third-party vendors and platform providers, and in architecture governance

• Payments, cards or lending architecture (payment gateways, tokenisation, BNPL)

• Azure (preferred), API management, enterprise middleware, Agile / Scrum and DevOps / CI/CD
• Preferred: TOGAF, CBA, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Fundamentals, Certified Payments Professional
