Solution Architect (with Business Analysis Expertise)

About the role

BlackStone eIT is looking for a Solution Architect in Dubai who turns business requirements into robust solution designs and defends them in front of development, infrastructure and integration teams. The role owns the technical direction of the solution and is an active technical leadership position, not documentation-only. It also includes business analysis expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution design across application, data, integration, security and infrastructure layers
• Produce architecture documents, data flow and sequence diagrams, and integration and API specifications
• Select architecture patterns and justify choices based on trade-offs, costs and risks
• Review designs from developers, vendors and infrastructure teams on feasibility, scalability, performance, security and supportability
• Evaluate integration approaches (REST, event-driven, batch, file-based) against failure scenarios and transaction volumes
• Validate sizing, environment and hosting assumptions (Dev/SIT/UAT/Production, cloud and on-premises)
• Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks and single points of failure, and propose remediation
• Ensure delivered work matches approved designs and escalate deviations early
• Elicit and document business, functional, non-functional and technical requirements (BRD, FRD, TRD, user stories) and maintain full traceability to design elements and test cases
• Facilitate workshops with business owners and support impact assessments when requirements change
• Act as the main technical contact between business owners, delivery teams and vendors, review vendor proposals and advise project managers on technical risks

Required profile

• 8+ years in enterprise IT, with at least 4 years as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or equivalent
• Hands-on experience delivering API-led and system integration projects in enterprise or government environments
• Practical background in business analysis, including requirements engineering and stakeholder management
• Native or fluent Arabic and fluent English
• Clear communication of technical risks to executives and ability to push back on weak designs with evidence

Required skills

• API design: REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON/XML, webhooks, event-driven patterns
• Integration platforms, API gateways, OAuth2, SSO, UAE PASS or similar
• Cloud and infrastructure fundamentals (networking, high availability, DR, security architecture)
• Relational databases, SQL and data mapping
• UML, BPMN 2.0 and sequence diagrams in Visio, Lucidchart or Enterprise Architect
• Agile delivery in Jira or Azure DevOps
• Certifications: TOGAF Foundation mandatory; AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or above) or Azure AZ-305 preferred; CBAP or PMI-PBA preferred
