Sous Chef – Catering (Scope Investment)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in delivering high‑quality catering services for events and large‑scale functions. Based in Dubai, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring consistency, creativity, and operational excellence across all kitchen activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen management for event and catering services.
• Supervise food preparation and production, maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Lead, train and motivate junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Contribute to menu development, planning and costing for innovative catering offerings.
• Manage inventory, stock control and ordering of supplies.
• Enforce health, safety and food hygiene standards in line with local regulations.
• Act as Deputy Head Chef in their absence, taking full responsibility for kitchen operations.
• Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to exceptional standards before service.
• Collaborate with events and front‑of‑house teams to guarantee seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie, preferably in high‑volume catering or large hotel environments.
• Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional apprenticeship.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Creative flair with a passion for food and attention to presentation.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varied hours according to event schedules.
• Experience in the Middle East is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• HACCP certification (or equivalent food safety knowledge).
