Sous Chef – Pastry and Bakery

About the role

The Luxury Collection is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead pastry and bakery operations in Dubai. You will supervise kitchen staff, ensure high‑quality presentation, and support the overall Food & Beverage service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers, ensuring proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
• Create decorative food displays and monitor the quantity of food prepared.
• Inform service staff of menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and prepare special or substitute meals.
• Assist cooks with tasks, provide needed items, and monitor stock of supplies and food.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety, ensure product quality, and report any non‑conformities to the manager.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• 4‑6 years of related pastry/bakery experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Commitment to company safety, security policies and confidentiality.
