Spacecraft AIT Engineer

About the role

The Spacecraft AIT Engineer will support the Spacecraft Lead on all Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) activities for NSSTC programs and the S‑813 program. The role covers the full lifecycle from supplier selection through design, development, integration, testing and shipment to the launch site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate AIT activities with the spacecraft supplier and ensure alignment with NSSTC facilities and operators.
• Review supplier deliverables, AIT plans, test reports and documentation for compliance.
• Organise and attend technical meetings, prepare review items, and track action items.
• Validate that the supplier’s AIT plan matches NSSTC capabilities and schedule facility usage.
• Plan short‑ and medium‑term AIT activities, including procedures, test aids and facility bookings.
• Support the preparation of NSSTC AIT team training in collaboration with the supplier.
• Provide ad‑hoc technical support to the Spacecraft Lead for plan acceptance, test report reviews and issue resolution.
• Maintain internal coordination with the NSSTC AIT team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (minimum).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
