Special Pricing & Costing Leader - Control Valves (MEA)

About the role

The Special Pricing & Costing Leader leads the team supporting the Middle East and Africa region, managing end-to-end special pricing and project costing for control valve products. The role works with Sales, Application Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality to deliver accurate, competitive and profitable commercial proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Special Pricing & Costing Engineers, monitoring workload, productivity, quality and turnaround times.
• Review and execute special pricing requests for control valves, engineered products and special manufacturing requirements, evaluating BOMs, configurations and manufacturing processes.
• Lead project costing during quotation stages and establish consistent costing methodologies across the region.
• Ensure compliance with pricing policies, financial controls, approval processes and delegation of authority.
• Work with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations to optimise costs and support commercial decisions.
• Improve costing models, pricing tools and standard work, automate and digitize processes, and analyse variances between estimated and actual gross profit.
• Maintain pricing and costing guidelines, knowledge repositories and work instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in control valve, flow control, industrial automation or related industries.
• Experience in special pricing, costing, order engineering, procurement or a related commercial engineering function.
• Strong understanding of control valve products and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of costing methodologies, gross profit analysis, margins, breakeven calculations and pricing strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Preferred: experience with multiple manufacturing facilities and global supply chains, and with automation, digitalization and process improvement.
