Specialist Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine

About the role

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine to join its obstetrics and gynecology team. You will provide specialized care for high‑risk pregnancies and support early diagnosis and treatment of fetal abnormalities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high‑risk pregnancies and provide comprehensive maternal and fetal care.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, fetal anomaly screening, growth monitoring and Doppler studies.
• Diagnose and manage complex conditions such as fetal growth restriction, multiple pregnancies and maternal medical complications.
• Counsel expectant parents on fetal abnormalities, prenatal investigations and management options.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic specialists and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records, comply with clinical guidelines and participate in audits, teaching, research and CME.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine; Western board certification preferred.
• Significant post‑specialization experience in high‑risk obstetrics and fetal medicine.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.
