Specialist Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon – Western Qualified

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with recognised Western qualifications to join a reputable healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical care for oral, jaw and facial conditions in line with international standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and surgically manage diseases, injuries, deformities and congenital conditions of the oral and maxillofacial region.
• Perform dento‑alveolar procedures, complex extractions, impacted wisdom tooth removal and manage odontogenic infections.
• Conduct orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery and manage facial trauma including mandibular, maxillary and zygomatic fractures.
• Treat oral and maxillofacial cysts, benign tumours and TMJ disorders surgically.
• Carry out pre‑operative assessments, review imaging, develop treatment plans and obtain informed consent.
• Collaborate with orthodontists, dentists, ENT, plastic surgeons and oncologists for multidisciplinary care.

Required profile

• Recognised dental degree (BDS, DDS, DMD or equivalent) and, where required, a medical degree.
• Specialist qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or another accepted Western system.
• Relevant post‑qualification experience meeting UAE licensing authority requirements.
• Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant classification under DHA, DOH or MOHAP and a valid professional registration in good standing.
• Willingness to relocate to the UAE.

• Interpretation of diagnostic imaging (CT, CBCT, X‑ray).
• Pre‑operative planning and postoperative patient care.
