Specialist Cost Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Specialist Cost Estimation Engineer will lead the preparation, review and management of cost estimates for onshore oil and gas projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review conceptual, feasibility, FEED and detailed engineering cost estimates for oil & gas projects.
• Develop cost breakdown structures, quantity take‑offs and pricing for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management activities.
• Evaluate contractor estimates, vendor quotations and bid proposals, and support project budgeting and investment evaluations.
• Perform cost risk, sensitivity and contingency analyses and monitor estimate accuracy during the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project controls, planning and construction teams to ensure accurate estimating inputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of cost estimation experience in the oil & gas industry, including at least 10 years on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
• Mandatory hands‑on experience across FEED, detailed engineering and EPC phases, especially in Early Production Facilities (EPF).
• Professional certification such as AACE International Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is preferred.
