Specialist Maternal & Fetal Medicine Physician – Government Hospitals

About the role

The Specialist Maternal & Fetal Medicine physician provides expert care for high‑risk pregnancies in government hospitals in Dubai. The role involves comprehensive antenatal assessment, fetal surveillance, prenatal diagnosis and multidisciplinary coordination in line with UAE healthcare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and assessments for high‑risk pregnancies.
• Provide specialist antenatal care for pregnancies complicated by maternal or fetal conditions.
• Assess and manage maternal medical disorders such as hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease and autoimmune conditions.
• Perform and interpret fetal surveillance, growth assessments, anatomy scans and placental evaluations.
• Carry out advanced obstetric ultrasound and prenatal diagnostic procedures within approved clinical privileges.

Required profile

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology; fellowship or specialist qualification in Maternal & Fetal Medicine preferred.
• Valid UAE Specialist License or eligibility from the relevant health authority.
• Current BLS certification and appropriate professional indemnity coverage.
