Specialist Physician – Reproductive Medicine

About the role

The Specialist Physician in Reproductive Medicine works alongside Consultant Physicians to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care. The role involves clinical excellence, supervision of junior medical staff, and active participation in departmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support hospital policies, performance management, and departmental initiatives.
• Assist Consultant Physicians in ensuring continuous medical coverage within the division.
• Attend divisional meetings and contribute to incident reporting and investigation.
• Diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards under Consultant supervision.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and document clinical information promptly.
• Review investigation results, modify treatment plans, and obtain informed consent for procedures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and liaise with other specialties.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis.

Required profile

• Qualified physician with specialist training in Reproductive Medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centred care.
• Experience supervising and training junior medical staff.
• Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
