Specialist Planning & Cost Engineer – Offshore Water Injection

About the role

KBR is seeking a Specialist Planning & Cost Engineer to support an offshore water injection project based in Abu Dhabi. The role combines office‑based planning with a 6‑week on/3‑week off offshore rotation, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget throughout all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
• Establish the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and coding for engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, commissioning and start‑up.
• Monitor schedule progress, identify critical paths, constraints and potential delays, and produce weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and prepare mitigation or recovery plans.
• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor schedules for compliance with project requirements.
• Develop and manage project cost control systems, track expenditures and forecast budget impacts.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum).
• Proven experience in planning and cost control for large offshore or oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
