Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer – Offshore Water Injection

About the role

The Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer will lead the engineering, design, selection, procurement and technical management of rotating equipment for an offshore water injection project for ADNOC. The role covers the full project lifecycle from FEED through commissioning and start‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of compressors, turbines, pumps, blowers, diesel engines, generators and package equipment for offshore facilities.
• Prepare, review and approve equipment datasheets, technical specifications, material requisitions and vendor drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes such as API, ISO, ASME and IEC.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural and procurement teams.
• Support procurement, inspection, FAT, construction, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, design and constructability reviews and resolve technical issues on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 15‑18 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, refinery or offshore EPC projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a lead rotating equipment engineering role.
• Experience on ADNOC offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or similar large Middle‑East projects.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in rotating equipment design, selection and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of API 610, API 617, API 618, API 612, API 616, API 614 and API 670 standards.
• Equipment performance analysis, reliability engineering, vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
• Mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication systems and auxiliary packages.
• Vendor package management and technical bid evaluation.
