Specialist Technology

About the role

Al Yasat is looking for a Specialist Technology to drive the development, implementation and governance of technology strategies and solutions for Al Dhafra Petroleum (ADP) and Al Yasat Petroleum (AYP). The role ensures robust technology lifecycle management, value creation and compliance with ADNOC Group policies, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technology governance frameworks, policies and procedures, and monitor compliance with ADNOC technology standards, regulations and internal controls.
• Define and update the technology vision, strategic objectives and 5-year roadmap, conduct market analysis and contribute to business cases and economic evaluations.
• Oversee technology projects, including readiness assessments, risk planning, incident resolution and technology transition or retirement.
• Track performance and value realization of technology initiatives using KPIs and ROI metrics, and support progress reports, dashboards and lessons learned.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as ADNOC HQ, vendors and business units, and guide them in applying the seamless technology lifecycle approach.
• Promote innovation and change management, and guide the development of unit policies, processes, standards and internal controls.
• Contribute to HSE, sustainability and risk management policies, and prepare accurate management reports for the Board and shareholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in applied science or engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas or technology industries.
• Professional certifications are an advantage.

Required skills

• Technology economic evaluation and technology project management.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, plant information historians, machine learning, unmanned operations, reservoir technologies, advanced completion technologies and automated drilling.
