Speech and Language Pathologist

About the role

The Speech and Language Pathologist will assess and treat patients with speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings. Reporting to the Rehabilitation Team Leader, the role supports both paediatric and adult populations within a leading long‑term care and rehabilitation provider.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct screening, comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment for speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy sessions in inpatient, outpatient, community and educational settings.
• Perform instrumental and bedside swallowing assessments and prescribe diet modifications.
• Develop specialised therapy plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate clinical records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• Current professional licensure/registration with a relevant authority (e.g., HCPC, CORU, DOH, DHA).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, including senior‑level work in rehabilitation, neurological or post‑acute care.
• Demonstrated expertise in adult neurorehabilitation, dysphagia, tracheostomy management and stroke or acquired brain injury care.
