Staff Nurse – NICU Wing (Tower A‑Ground)

About the role

The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the NICU wing located on Tower A‑Ground. This role involves direct patient care, education for patients and families, and coordination of care transitions while upholding the mission and values of SSMC.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop and document individualized, culturally appropriate care plans with measurable outcomes, involving patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications in accordance with organizational policies.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure accurate documentation of care plans and modifications.
• Provide health education and promotion to patients and families, supporting safe transitions of care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for neonatal patients.
• Commitment to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and UAE.
• Strong knowledge of the Nursing Scope of Practice and evidence‑based nursing standards.
