Stakeholder Liaison Engineer

About the role

The Stakeholder Liaison Engineer will lead the identification and management of relationships with key parties throughout the Design & Build phase of major infrastructure projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, government bodies, local authorities, environmental agencies and community groups.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, map and prioritize all relevant stakeholders for each project.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive stakeholder management plan, ensuring regular communication and engagement.
• Analyse stakeholder‑related risks and opportunities, providing strategic advice to mitigate threats.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports to clients and internal teams, highlighting any stakeholder issues.
• Collaborate with legal, financial and corporate departments to ensure compliance with all protocols.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, ensuring concerns are addressed and requirements are integrated into project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification in stakeholder management or a comparable qualification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in stakeholder management within construction or infrastructure, preferably on transportation or rail projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project environments.
