Steward – Hotel Food & Beverage Service

About the role

The Steward will deliver courteous, professional and efficient service in line with Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach standards. Working within the Food & Beverage division, the role requires flexibility to rotate across sub‑departments and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dish, pot, pan and equipment washing according to performance standards.
• Execute opening and closing procedures for the assigned work area.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times.
• Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and report any unresolved issues.
• Assist with inventory counts of operating equipment on a regular basis.
• Support team members and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexibly across different areas of the Food & Beverage department.
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and hygiene regulations.
• Willingness to follow hotel policies, including health, safety and fire procedures.
• Professional appearance, punctuality and a team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP procedures.
• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Application of appropriate cleaning chemicals and procedures.
