Steward - Hotel Kitchen Cleaning

About the role

A hotel in the Accor network (Habitas) is looking for a Steward to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in kitchen, food preparation and back-of-house areas. The role supports the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams by keeping kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and operational areas clean, sanitized, organized and maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and pans, and operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, dishwashing areas, storage rooms and back-of-house facilities, and perform deep cleaning of floors, walls, drains and exhaust areas on schedule.
• Support the Culinary and F&B teams during daily operations, events and special functions, and ensure clean equipment is available during service.
• Help set up and break down kitchen equipment and banquet operations, and organize stewarding supplies.
• Follow HACCP-based food safety and hygiene procedures, handle chemicals safely, wear PPE and dispose of food waste correctly.
• Report damaged or missing equipment, low stock levels and unsafe conditions to the Stewarding Supervisor, and attend briefings and training.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Steward or Kitchen Steward in a hotel, resort or restaurant is preferred.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation and food safety.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and do manual cleaning.
• Basic English communication skills.
