About the role

The Meydan Hotel, located beside Dubai's iconic Meydan Racecourse, seeks a dedicated Steward to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and service excellence in its luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, restaurant, and service areas at all times.
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment properly.
• Assist chefs and service staff with basic kitchen and service support tasks.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling according to hotel procedures.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, workstations, and storage areas.
• Support smooth kitchen operations during peak service hours.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, luxury hotel environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle manual tasks.
• Minimum high school education or equivalent; food safety or hygiene certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of English; additional languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment.
