Steward - Luxury Beach Resort

About the role

Al Zorah Beach Resort, a luxury coastal retreat near Dubai, is undergoing a transformation into Four Seasons Resort Ajman at Al Zorah, opening in 2028. It is looking for a full-time Steward to keep kitchens, dishwashing areas and back-of-house facilities clean, safe and well organised, supporting the Culinary and F&B teams.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitise chinaware, glassware, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment to established standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in kitchens, dishwashing areas, storage rooms and other back-of-house facilities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and transport of kitchen equipment to prevent damage.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures, including HACCP requirements, and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Assist with collection, segregation and disposal of kitchen waste.
• Keep floors, drains, work surfaces and kitchen areas clean, and help with deep-cleaning tasks.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues and unsafe conditions to the Stewarding Supervisor.
• Support the Culinary and F&B teams by making sure clean equipment is available during service and events.

Required profile

• Previous stewarding or kitchen cleaning experience in a hotel, resort or restaurant is preferred.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation and food safety; familiarity with dishwashing equipment and chemicals is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions and stay consistent on cleanliness standards.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Physically able to stand, lift and work in a busy kitchen; reliable, organised and a team player.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
