Store Buyer / Receiver

About the role

Join a dynamic hospitality team as a Store Buyer / Receiver, responsible for purchasing, receiving, and managing inventory to keep hotel operations running smoothly. You will ensure timely deliveries, maintain quality standards, and keep accurate records while complying with hotel policies and food safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase quality goods and materials at the best available price.
• Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Process purchase requests and follow up on orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock when required.
• Receive and inspect goods to ensure they match purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Report and resolve any quantity, quality, or price discrepancies.
• Return damaged or incorrect items to suppliers.
• Update receiving records and inventory in the system.
• Prepare daily receiving reports and maintain proper documentation.
• Coordinate with departments to deliver received goods.
• Keep receiving and storage areas clean and organized.
• Ensure all food deliveries comply with Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements.
• Perform stock counts and assist with inventory control.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Supervisor.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, receiving, stores, or inventory control within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of purchasing and inventory procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and stock.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and be a team player with a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
