Store Manager - Supermarket

About the role

The Store Manager for a supermarket in Abu Dhabi ensures a seamless delivery of service and drives operations toward maximum sales, maximum profitability, optimum stock management, higher customer satisfaction and continued business growth. The role holder also oversees and implements improvement action plans.

Key responsibilities

• Implement MAF Retail's supermarket strategies and procedures with Head Office and Corporate Office
• Analyse commercial performance qualitatively and quantitatively and recommend actions to increase profitability and sales turnover
• Control operational costs within budget to maximise sales and profitability
• Review and analyse stock and sales reports and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with Department Heads on stock management, including stock value, out-of-stocks and timely deliveries
• Lead the team to improve customer service and meet customer requirements to standards
• Supervise service and maintenance so that supermarket assets remain fully operational and safe
• Assist performance management by setting objectives, monitoring performance and giving constructive feedback

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Master's degree preferred)
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a retail business
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leadership ability to guide and develop teams
• Analytical, pragmatic problem-solving and strong decision-making skills
• Highly organised, with strong multitasking and time-management skills
