Structural Design Engineer

About the role

Spacetech Engineering Consultancy Services LLC is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to lead the design and analysis of a variety of projects across the UAE, including villas, warehouses, commercial, residential and industrial buildings. The role involves delivering complete structural solutions from concept through construction while ensuring compliance with local and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for diverse projects using reinforced concrete, steel and composite systems.
• Perform structural modelling and analysis with ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro for gravity, lateral and seismic loads.
• Design foundations such as shallow, raft and pile foundations based on geotechnical recommendations.
• Conduct structural assessments, integrity evaluations and load capacity analyses for renovation and retrofitting projects.
• Prepare calculations, design reports, technical specifications and documentation in line with ACI, BS, Eurocodes and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants, contractors and clients to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review geotechnical reports and recommend appropriate foundation systems.
• Carry out site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide the design team.
• Prepare structural drawings and submissions to Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA and other authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5‑6 years of progressive experience in structural design and assessment within the UAE or GCC.
• Strong leadership, project management and multidisciplinary coordination abilities.
• Excellent technical writing, communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAFE and STAAD.Pro.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Structure.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications.
