Structural Inspector – Site

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Structural Inspector to join its supervision team in Dubai. You will ensure that all structural works on‑site comply with approved IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements and UAE authority regulations, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of structural works, verifying compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor contractor activities, identify deviations and issue Site Observation Reports (SOR) and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) with corrective recommendations.
• Review and validate inspections of concrete, reinforcement, formwork, structural steel, foundations, waterproofing and other structural elements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and specialists to resolve structural issues and confirm corrective actions.
• Ensure contractors maintain proper documentation, testing records (cube tests, FDT, plate load tests) and quality certificates.
• Verify adherence to approved method statements, ITPs and QA/QC procedures, providing clear guidance to contractors.
• Maintain organized inspection records with photographs, comments and compliance notes while following health and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of structural site inspection experience in the UAE construction industry (consultant experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority requirements and international standards.
• Ability to interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, ITPs and method statements accurately.
• Valid UAE driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites.
• Commitment to health and safety, professional ethics and quality standards.
