Student Life Coordinator

About the role

SABIS International School in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi is looking for a Student Life Coordinator to lead the Student Life Organization (SLO). The SLO empowers and motivates students to improve school culture and academic standards while supporting their balanced, comprehensive development into responsible, world-class citizens. This is a non-teaching position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the SLO and all its activities, recruit and maintain the SLO team, and coordinate with other departments
• Motivate students to join the SLO and improve themselves, the department and the school
• Plan the academic year proactively and promote SLO achievements, events and activities
• Train student prefects in academic, managerial and leadership skills and guide them to meet the school's needs
• Work with the Academic Quality Controllers and Heads of Departments to raise academic standards
• Manage the advising curriculum and schedule advising classes
• Coordinate with the Student Management Coordinator to support high levels of discipline
• Meet weekly with the School Director and the SLO leadership team to review performance, goals and challenges
• Lead and coordinate school events such as trips, competitions and games
• Ensure the SLO runs according to SABIS principles and perform other delegated tasks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; experience in the SABIS network is preferable
• English proficiency
• Professional behaviour, ethics, accountability and continuous improvement
• Interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving and result delivery
