Student Recruitment & Admissions Officer

About the role

A client in Dubai is looking for a Student Recruitment & Admissions Officer to manage the recruitment, evaluation and selection of prospective students. The role covers student outreach, lead generation, admissions counselling, application assessment and enrolment growth, representing the institution at recruitment events and building relationships with schools and educational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run recruitment and outreach initiatives to attract students and meet enrolment targets.
• Engage prospective students and families, explaining programmes, scholarships, financial aid, eligibility and admissions procedures.
• Build relationships with high school counsellors, schools, community organisations and other stakeholders.
• Nurture leads through outreach, networking and events, and help create admissions collateral, presentations, promotional materials and recruitment kiosks.
• Review applications (transcripts, personal statements, recommendations, extracurriculars) and assess eligibility against academic and programme criteria.
• Work with admissions teams and selection committees on admission, waitlist and rejection decisions.
• Counsel applicants through the application process and enter data into student information systems and admissions databases.
• Keep accurate applicant records, prepare reports on applications, conversions and enrolment progress, and protect applicant data according to privacy regulations.
• Monitor recruitment targets, improve processes, take part in training and undertake other tasks assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in student admissions, recruitment, educational counselling, customer service or higher education.
• Preferred: experience in outreach, lead generation, stakeholder engagement, application assessment or enrolment management, and prior work in a higher education institution or education-focused organisation.
