Supervisor – Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul

About the role

The Supervisor, Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul (AMO) leads the workshop team responsible for assembling, maintaining, testing and overhauling oilfield tools and equipment. The role ensures tools are ready for drilling operations, meet quality and safety standards, and are delivered within planned turnaround times.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily AMO workshop activities including assembly, disassembly, maintenance, inspection, testing and overhaul of tools.
• Ensure compliance with approved procedures, OEM manuals, QA/QC standards and ADNOC Drilling requirements.
• Plan and monitor tool turnaround cycles (PM1‑PM4) to meet rig mobilization schedules.
• Maintain complete documentation, inspection certificates and test records for audit readiness.
• Enforce HSE standards, conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments (JSA), and promote safe work practices.
• Lead, coach and develop AMO technicians and support staff, handling manpower allocation and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics and external vendors for parts availability and warranty claims.
• Monitor inventory of tools, spares and consumables, identifying critical shortages.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in assembly, maintenance and overhaul of oilfield tools.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and regulatory compliance (e.g., FANR).
• Demonstrated HSE leadership and ability to conduct risk assessments.
• Effective coordination with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to manage inventory and control costs.
