Supervisor - DC Automation

About the role

R&B Fashion is hiring a full-time Supervisor for its DC Automation team in Dubai. The role oversees the day-to-day operation of automation systems, leads a team of automation technicians and coordinates with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day functioning of automation systems, including conveyors, sorters and control systems.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and breakdowns are resolved promptly.
• Monitor system performance and escalate issues to engineering and vendor support when needed.
• Supervise routine inspections and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance protocols.
• Lead and guide a team of automation technicians, distribute tasks and provide on-the-job training.
• Liaise with the Assistant Manager - DC Automation and other stakeholders on operational updates and support needs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on technical support, spares and warranty claims, and help evaluate vendor service quality.
• Support implementation of upgrades or changes in automation systems with minimal disruption.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities, equipment downtime and corrective actions, and generate daily and weekly maintenance reports.
• Keep inventory of critical spare parts and tools up to date.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in automation system supervision or maintenance, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Hands-on experience managing a team of technicians and coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of warehouse automation technologies such as conveyors, PLCs and automated storage systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS (a plus).
