Supplier Performance Specialist

About the role

Seafood Souq is a UAE-based technology company that builds trust, transparency and sustainability across global food supply chains, with traceability and audit platforms used by hospitality groups to verify product origins, assess supplier performance and meet regulatory and ESG requirements. The Supplier Performance Specialist manages suppliers end to end and runs the audit cycle that depends on them, acting as the main supplier contact while ensuring the data is accurate and timely enough to score and release.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a supplier portfolio as their main point of contact, from senior management to operational teams, and follow up on complete, accurate and timely data submission
• Run onboarding, training, performance reviews and on-site visits, and agree improvement plans with underperforming suppliers
• Manage product mapping, review origin and mislabelling flags, and sense-check supplier scorecards before release to clients
• Contribute to quarterly client reports and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders
• Own supplier performance dashboards, validate data quality before reports are released, and adapt the audit process as the company expands into meat, poultry and other proteins
• Keep processes and documentation up to date

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years in a client-facing role with a strong analytical component, in audit or assurance, supplier quality/supplier development or food safety/QA, or customer success/onboarding in B2B SaaS
• Fluent written and spoken English (essential); Arabic is advantageous
• Exposure to seafood, meat, poultry or other food supply chains, hospitality and report writing is advantageous
• Ability to learn new product categories quickly and own multiple relationships and deadlines

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and reading dashboards and queries in Metabase
• SQL is a plus
• Use of Asana and AI tools in daily work
• Persuasive written and verbal communication, including presentations and training
