Supply Chain Planner

About the role

As a Supply Chain Planner at Knauf GCC, you will manage an end‑to‑end supply chain that integrates demand, production, raw‑material availability and inventory to ensure optimal service levels and cost‑effective inventory management while balancing capacity and material constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts (3–18 months) and adjust them based on market intelligence, discounts and large project pipelines.
• Lead the demand review cycle within the S&OP process, consolidating and presenting demand assumptions, risks and opportunities.
• Track forecast accuracy (MAPE, WMAPE) and bias at SKU and aggregate levels, performing root‑cause analysis for forecast errors.
• Maintain forecast data in Blue Yonder and use analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and insights.
• Translate demand plans into feasible production and material plans, creating master production schedules for gypsum boards, Ready Mix and Profile plants.
• Monitor plant capacity utilization, ensure key material availability through procurement collaboration, and set safety stock levels for finished goods and critical raw materials.
• Own and track planning KPIs such as service level (OTIF), capacity utilization, inventory days and forecast accuracy.
• Maintain planning parameters in SAP ERP/MRP, ensuring data accuracy for lead times, BOMs, production rates and safety stock.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in demand, supply and production planning, preferably in building‑materials or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of forecasting techniques, MRP, capacity planning and S&OP processes.
• Proven influencing and stakeholder‑management skills with sales and commercial teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
