Support Craft Electrical Technician

About the role

The Support Craft Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining power and control systems on marine vessels, ensuring reliable operation of Caterpillar marine engines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective electrical maintenance on control panels, PLC systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues with Caterpillar marine engines.
• Interpret electrical schematics, identify required spare parts, and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and provide regular progress updates.
• Escalate complex problems to supervisors and ensure strict adherence to HSE policies.
• Collaborate with other departments and support colleagues during maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining power and control systems on marine vessels.
• Hands‑on experience with control panels, PLC systems, and electronic diagnostics.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar marine engine maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Commitment to HSE standards and proactive hazard mitigation.
