SVP, Financial Governance

About the role

Mubadala is seeking a Senior Vice President, Financial Governance to lead the financial governance, internal control and ICFR agenda across its Group Finance environment. The role ensures that Mubadala's financial information is supported by a robust, well-evidenced and auditable control environment, and provides Group-level oversight of the ICFR programmes of significant investees. It involves travel to investee locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group ICFR framework under COSO 2013, including risk-based scoping, risk and control matrices, testing of control design and operating effectiveness, deficiency evaluation and remediation tracking, and management attestation.
• Oversee external consultants supporting the ICFR programme and lead ICFR training within Head office and across investees.
• Monitor control performance, review control self-assessments and sub-certifications, and prepare ICFR reporting for ARCC, the Group CFO and other governance forums.
• Lead the financial governance framework, including finance policies, delegation of authority compliance, control ownership and fraud risk, segregation of duties and user access governance.
• Coordinate with Risk and Internal Audit under the three lines model and promote automation and digitalisation of controls.
• Manage relationships with senior finance leadership, legal, tax, treasury, second-line risk, internal audit and external auditors, and oversee outsourced service providers.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification such as CIA, CISA or equivalent.
• 18+ years of progressively senior experience across internal controls and ICFR.
• Exceptional working knowledge of COSO 2013, SOX-style control programmes, risk-based scoping, control design and testing, and deficiency remediation.
