Swimming Pool and Water Feature Engineer

About the role

Studio 360, a multidisciplinary design studio serving Azizi Developments since 2017, is looking for a Swimming Pool and Water Feature Engineer. The studio covers architecture, engineering, interiors, landscape and MEP across residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and master planning projects, and uses BIM in its design and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and plan swimming pools and water features with project teams, meeting project specifications.
• Supervise construction, coordinating with contractors on approved designs, quality, timelines and safety.
• Apply expertise in hydraulics, filtration, water treatment and related engineering principles.
• Perform engineering calculations for structural loads, water flow and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare and review technical drawings and layouts in AutoCAD and Revit, and use hydraulic analysis tools.
• Ensure compliance with local and international codes, health and safety and environmental requirements.
• Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement, cost monitoring and financial tracking.
• Implement quality assurance and control measures.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in swimming pool, water feature, hydraulic or related engineering projects.
• Experience in landscape design projects across residential, hospitality, retail, public spaces and commercial developments.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, planning and time management skills.

Required skills

• Water filtration, circulation, pumps and chemical water treatment knowledge.
• Structural engineering principles and material properties for pools and water features.
• AutoCAD, Revit and 3D design software.
• Hydraulic analysis tools.
