System Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer II to join our IT team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining Windows Server infrastructure across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows Server systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and VLAN configurations.
• Monitor infrastructure using performance and backup tools, troubleshoot incidents and apply patches.
• Administer virtual environments with VMware and Hyper‑V, and support hybrid cloud operations.
• Oversee storage solutions such as SAN and NAS, handling allocation and performance tuning.
• Design and implement disaster recovery, backup and business continuity strategies.
• Participate in system architecture planning to ensure scalability, reliability and security.
• Maintain data‑center hardware, racks, power, cooling and network equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to IT staff and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related IT field.
• 5–7 years of experience managing Windows Server, networking, virtualization and hybrid cloud environments.
• Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE; additional certifications (e.g., VMware, Azure, CCNA) are a plus.
