Systems Assurance Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Systems Assurance Manager to lead safety, reliability, and verification activities on large‑scale rail and infrastructure projects. You will guide the project from concept through operational readiness, ensuring seamless integration of all railway subsystems and related airport interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Systems Assurance framework, strategy, and compliance processes across all project phases.
• Manage RAMS, safety assurance, verification & validation (V&V), and certification for rail systems, signalling, power supply, OCC, communications, rolling stock, platform and airport‑related systems.
• Produce and maintain assurance deliverables such as hazard logs, safety cases, verification plans, validation reports, compliance matrices and interface registers.
• Coordinate interface management, ensuring alignment with Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and multidisciplinary requirements.
• Support tender preparation, testing and commissioning strategies (FAT, SAT, SIT, integrated testing) and operational readiness activities.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical, safety and integration risks associated with railway and airport interfaces.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading systems assurance, RAMS or safety assurance on rail or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international railway standards, safety regulations and certification processes.
• Ability to work with designers, contractors, operators, regulatory authorities and independent assessors.
