Systems Engineer – IT Operations & Support

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its IT Operations Engineering & Support team, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining scalable hybrid infrastructure for the upcoming integrated resort.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments.
• Maintain and upgrade servers, storage, virtualization platforms and cloud services.
• Develop automation tools for deployment, monitoring and incident response.
• Monitor system health using dashboards and telemetry tools such as DataDog and Kibana.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and post‑mortems for major incidents.
• Collaborate with software engineering, cybersecurity and product teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Establish and refine SLAs, SLOs and error budgets.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, data‑protection standards and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps or IT infrastructure.
• Senior‑level experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure in a 24‑hour operational environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux system installation, configuration, hardening and troubleshooting.
• Scripting/programming: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS.
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Monitoring tools: DataDog, Kibana.
• Networking services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Storage, backup, monitoring and certificate services.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Certifications such as Azure/AWS, ITIL or SRE‑focused credentials (preferred).
