Tax Manager – GCC Region

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead all tax functions across the Gulf region, ensuring compliance with local VAT, corporate tax and withholding tax regimes while supporting business growth through strategic tax planning and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional tax strategy aligned with business objectives and shareholder value.
• Advise senior leadership on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and new market entries.
• Monitor legislative changes across GCC jurisdictions and assess operational impact.
• Design tax‑efficient structures for cross‑border transactions, intercompany arrangements and service delivery models.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, Zakat where applicable).
• Oversee tax provision calculations for IFRS financial reporting and manage tax audits with GCC tax authorities.
• Maintain robust tax documentation, transfer‑pricing files and audit trails.
• Lead automation and digitalisation of tax processes, including e‑invoicing, ERP tax modules and e‑filing platforms.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing tax team and manage external advisors.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Operations to embed tax considerations into business workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Law; Master’s or tax specialization preferred.
• Professional tax certification such as CPA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., ADIT, US CPA) a plus.
• 6–8 years of tax experience, including at least 3 years in a GCC tax environment, preferably within IT or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and emerging GCC corporate tax regimes.
