Tax Manager

About the role

Gradiant, a water and wastewater treatment company, is hiring a Tax Manager in Abu Dhabi. The manager oversees the preparation and timely submission of all global tax filings, coordinating with local advisors and finance teams to ensure compliance with corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other indirect taxes. The role also covers global tax strategy, transfer pricing, tax reporting, audits and controversies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, review and timely submission of global tax filings (corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other indirect taxes)
• Coordinate with local tax advisors and finance teams to ensure compliance across jurisdictions
• Implement global tax strategies and advise on cross-border transactions, business restructurings and intercompany funding
• Analyse the impact of global tax reforms such as BEPS, Pillar 1 & 2 and digital services taxes
• Lead global tax provisions under ASC 740 or IFRS and support quarterly and annual tax reporting
• Maintain transfer pricing policies and documentation, including master and local files
• Monitor tax risks, communicate with tax authorities and defend tax audits and controversies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; Master's in Taxation or Accounting preferred
• 5-8 years of relevant tax experience
• CPA, CMA, ACCA or taxation/accounting diplomas preferred but not required
• Expertise in corporate tax accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and lead multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
