Teacher - Inclusion (Yasmina British Academy)

About the role

Aldar Education, the leading education group in Abu Dhabi, is recruiting a Teacher - Inclusion for Yasmina British Academy for academic year 27/28. The school offers inclusive, play-based learning and delivers the English National Curriculum, the American Massachusetts State Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The teacher will deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that support students' academic, social and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater to the whole ability range in the class, with enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and parents to support children's development and happiness.
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, create displays and run a weekly ECA each term.
• Observe and assess children, record progress in Target Tracker and use assessment data to inform planning and intervention.
• Give feedback to parents and carers at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings.
• Manage behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy, acting as a positive role model.
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where needed.
• Take part in curriculum action groups, school events and weekend or evening activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification.
• At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance; appointments are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance.
• Previous experience working with students whose English is not their first language.

• Clear understanding of the curriculum and ability to adapt teaching to diverse needs.
• Effective communication with colleagues, parents and carers, including use of school systems such as CPOMS.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of children.
