Team Lead – Deviation & CAPA

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Team Lead to head our Deviation & CAPA function within the Quality Assurance Compliance department. The role ensures all operations meet cGMP, GDP, ISO and other regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily QA compliance activities, overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) implementation, maintenance and improvement.
• Supervise review, investigation and closure of deviations, market complaints and corrective‑and‑preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Plan, coordinate and conduct internal audits and self‑inspections; prepare for regulatory and customer inspections and manage audit findings.
• Control the lifecycle of SOPs, quality manuals and other controlled documents, ensuring Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are followed.
• Coach, train and develop the QA Compliance team, delivering GMP and compliance training across functions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and risk‑management projects, applying data‑integrity principles (ALCOA+) and identifying compliance gaps.
• Support Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives in line with ISO 14001:2015, reporting hazards and promoting a safe workplace.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a related field.
• 5–10 years of QA/Compliance experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team‑leadership role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
