Team Leader, Control & Automation

About the role

The Team Leader, Control & Automation will head the automation and control function for Borouge’s 1 & 2 plants, ensuring equipment availability, reliability and safe operation in line with maintenance strategies and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve modifications to existing BGS, standard drawings and philosophies, ensuring alignment with Borouge standards.
• Track design‑related issues, lessons learned and design change approvals for continuous improvement.
• Supervise preparation of specifications and drawings, advising on engineering standards.
• Validate engineering design, material specifications and BOM for new equipment, confirming availability in EDMS and SAP.
• Provide technical guidance on instrumentation, automation and control for projects, upgrades, modernisations and repairs.
• Lead technology selection, vendor evaluation and implementation of state‑of‑the‑art control & automation solutions.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis of system failures and approve modifications to improve efficiency and maintenance strategy.
• Ensure 100% operability and availability of control systems through planning, analysis and on‑call activity review.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead automation and control activities in large industrial plants.
• Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, safety procedures and operational integrity.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, project and operations teams.
