Team Leader - In Room Dining

About the role

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai is looking for a Team Leader for In Room Dining. The role supports the Assistant Outlet Manager and/or the Outlet Manager within the limits of established hotel policies and operational standards, providing efficient, personalized, courteous and punctual service so that each guest leaves satisfied and wants to return.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute work across the team, including multi-skilling employees, and brief and debrief the team
• Prepare the point of sale to a high standard and take guests' orders
• Manage the flow of guests, table placement and reservations, and check the quality and speed of waiter service
• Ensure par stocks are kept and assist with monthly inventory checks, requisitioning, storage and use of equipment
• Assist in planning festive food promotions, the weekly roster and work schedules, and maintain the daily logbook and outlet bulletin board
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, report unresolved complaints to supervisors and follow up with guests
• Set up the restaurant, check cleaning and the quality of equipment, glassware, cutlery, china and napkins, and supervise end-of-day closing
• Check the standard and quality of food and beverage leaving the kitchen and attend to extra guest needs

Required profile

• Hotel or Restaurant Management diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent
• HACCP certification
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in a five-star hotel
